To assist companies in addressing their legal requirement to have a competent person to manage health & safety within their organisation.
To ensure that learners who successfully complete this course:
will understand the concepts of safety and health,
will recognise the factors which influence health, safety and welfare,
will be able to apply health and safety principles and procedures,
will understand the critical importance of hazard identification and risk assessment,
will be familiar with core legislation in the area of safety, health and welfare,
will promote safe working practices and procedures in their place of work and elsewhere.

On successful completion of the required assignment and examination each participant will receive a Certificate in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work from Qualtec. A FETAC Record of Achievement will subsequently be issued.
